Sara started practicing yoga when she was living in London in 2008 studying contemporary dance at Trinity Laban. She has been practicing ballet and then contemporary dance from a very early age. Her dance study was very intense both physically and emotionally and she felt that by doing yoga it would help her soften more in the movement and get more control over the breath. After moving back to Iceland, where she is from, she started doing more yoga and it came a big part of her life. Sara has been teaching yoga for over 6 years but she got her teaching training certification (RYT 200) at Yoga Shala in Iceland. She has also as group training certificate and Body Balance certificate and has taught since 2012 at yoga studios and gyms in Iceland. She also went to practice Ashtanga in Goa, India in 2013 and finished the first series.
Sara loves exploring the body and the breath and how they connect in such a beautiful way. She believes that what happens on the mat you can take with you to every day life. Patience, trust, positive thinking and non-comparison and so much more is what yoga can give you and with practice and believe you can start to feel it happen and take it with you off the mat as well.
Sara classes are soft but dynamic. She has mostly taught Vinyasa and loves to be creative with her flows.
