Support and strengthen your body after pregnancy and childbirth!

Yoga is a fantastic tool when you have a baby to care for as it helps you find peace and calm. Yoga helps you to accept and become friends with your new role as a mother, strengthen your belief in yourself, and thus help you become more sensitive to your intuition that you need as a mother. 

Yoga and breathing help the body to become strong again in a gentle way. It helps you to heal both physically but also mentally postpartum. Pranayama helps you find balance and energy.

It is important to remember that our bodies are constantly changing. Don’t put pressure on yourself for your body to look the same after pregnancy as it did before. Give it time, be kind to yourself and strive for health, vitality, and strength. The recommendation is to start with physical activity such as yoga about 4-6 weeks after vaginal delivery and about 8 weeks after a cesarean birth.

The most important thing during the first period postpartum is to regain strength. Joints, ligaments are still soft and relaxed about 3-5 months after delivery. It is important to first strengthen the pelvic floor muscles so that they can hold up e.g. the abdominal muscles when you then start working the rest of the body. 

The recommended age of the baby is 2-6 months.
