Meditation is a mystical current that we encounter when we sit long enough in the practice. But to get ourselves to sit long enough and reconnect, most often we need to follow a technique.
These three workshops at Altromondo Yoga Studio are aimed to unlock the natural meditative flow and troubleshoot some of the main challenges we all are due to face as we approach meditation.
The intention here is to guide students, by easy steps, into a more regular daily practice of meditation, enhancing their enthusiasm and joy.
Each workshop will be supported by yin yoga practices to prepare for sitting.

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW:
Saturday Morning 10:15-12:30
WORKSHOP 1 - BABY STEPS AND FOUNDATIONS
One of the key aspects of meditation is accepting our own inner state exactly as it is. Every time we sit for meditation, we set steady physical foundations and open ourselves to experience the vast field of our consciousness. As we walk the path with baby steps, we trust the innate wisdom that is always there to support us in the process.
Learning to trust the process and staying open to the natural flow of meditation are the two key aspects of this workshop.
Saturday Afternoon 15:00-17:00
WORKSHOP 2 - THE GOLDEN POWER
The golden power is the natural flow of prāṇa as it manifests in the form of breath. In meditation we learn to establish an ever-growing level of intimacy with our own breath, as we advance into more refined ways of using the breath as a tool for awareness.
The late meditation master Sally Kempton, used to urge us to make love to our breath as the most intimate way of dealing with it. This workshop is aimed to exercise various ways to refine our relationship with breath and rejuvenate our practice of meditation
Sunday Morning 10:00-12:00
WORKSHOP 3 - A GENTLE FOCUS
The gentle play of focusing and letting go is one of the key aspects of how to deal with the mind in meditation.
The mind is perhaps the most sacred aspect of our own being. It can be the greatest friend or the nastiest enemy to us.
Learning to skillfully face the challenge of the mind with respect and dexterity is crucial for meditation.
This workshop wants to teach a few strategies on how to approach the mind in meditation and serve it at best, without fighting against it.
